Lam Heng Tsz of HKEJ mentioned about these video a few weeks ago. He was very positive about them, saying that these vivid everyday stories make the boring economic subjects interesting. They make the theories easier to understand & remember and stimulate high school students' interest in economics.
Economics is a social science that tries to explain people's behavour in a systematic way. Can't see anything wrong to apply it to these examples.
